TV BAFTAS-May 2007

Postby smoo2 » Wed Apr 11, 2007 6:22 pm

Green Wing has been nominated under the sitcom section. Yey! Unfortunately, The Royle Family is in there too, so I guess it might lose out again. http://www.bafta.org/site/page129.html
The awards are being given out on May 20th.

*punches air with fist*
GO GREEN WING

I hope the panel see sense and award it to the most innovative and hilarious show in recent years. Failing that, here's hoping there's a JRT fan on the panel :D

Ooh, that's the day after my birthday...so they'll have to give them the award or my whole weekend will be ruined otherwise!

go GW go i second that.
By the way did you notice that all that old BBC stuff ( old c***) i would say - in nominations. Sorry if i hurt somebody's feelings but the last year there is absolutely nothing decent to watch on BBC except Dr Who and Never Mind The Buzzcocks and may be Have i got news for you.
Consider that over here we olny can watch BBC from UK, this is my big boo-hoo to BBC /end of rant /

holland that is
I'd rather say that most of channel4 series we can get from Belgium though and months ( or years later) when they attach subtitles to them:lol: . Then they could be repeated on our channels (or not)
So Green Wing and Black Books i saw first on Belgian TV2.

here's an ever so slighlty different picture to the one in the gallery of the jrt, kt, tg and mg after winning in 2005. according to the label, they managed to almost demolish the picture set, hence the people trying to pin up the walls.

im sure we're all hoping that they will be called for another winning photoshoot :D
And i'm his brother Bob.

I saw Tamsin and Stephen only, they were shown a few times, looking lovely.

And :lv: and Green Wing

Victoria Pile was sitting the other side of Steve. It broke my heart to see her disappointment. And I saw Julian's girlfriend in the row behind someone else, so he was certainly there.

Awww, bless her! It would have been nice to win a(nother) Bafta but it doesn't change the fact that Green Wing is the coolest, funniest and most innovative show ever!!!

Add to that the fact that it downloaded Julian solidly into our consciousness (well, mine anyway!), and you have the perfect gift that keeps on giving.

I'm sure history will judge it a lot better - hindsight is 20/20 vision, as they say. It'll be held up as the show that made comedy cutting edge, you mark my words! :D

maybe we should send them an award for not only making the funniest show ever but for showing us Julian!!!!

Is it me or does the guy from from the IT crowd remind anyone of the lead singer from Snow Patrol
