According to some who has written a review on amazon, Julian is in "Death in Venice" (1981) playing Tadzio:
"To answer a question raised in other reviews, Tadzio is played by British actor Julian Rhind-Tutt, more recently seen in the British hit comedy, "Green Wing".

I think they only have it as a region 1 dvd, and it doesn't look like it is avaliable anyway.

(There is someone in the picture who looks vaguley like him)

I'd put my money on it being him - I know those ears anywhere!

Looks like a very rare thing from the foraging online that I've just been doing. I would be very curious about the film - I had no idea he had started acting so young!

Should have had a better agent then though, he apparently isn't credited at all in the film.

Bless 'im. What a handsome young man he was and I'd have thought a very odd role to have taken on so young too.

They are two different things. The famous film with Dirk Bogarde is not what IMDB is referring to. If it is JRT, he's in the film of the Benjamin Britten opera 'Death in Venice' based on the Thomas Mann novel. Given that he was quite musical in his youth this is feasible (though it's a silent role).
